First, the basics of this certification: the L/Certified program features pre-owned Lexus vehicles that have been certified by Lexus with a full inspection. These vehicles meet the manufacturer’s age, mileage, operation, and reliability standards, so you know they’re ready to hit the road.
Certification Inspections
All L/Certified vehicles have undergone a thorough 161-point inspection that covers several mechanical, aesthetic, and electronic systems. By contrast, the INFINITI Certified Pre-Owned program only covers 84 points.
Warranty Coverage
You can opt for warranty coverage on L/Certified cars, providing additional coverage beyond the original manufacturer’s warranty. With Lexus, you can get up to 10 years or 150,000 miles of coverage.
INFINITI also offers a comprehensive 10-year warranty plan, but the maximum mileage is only 100,000 miles. As for Genesis, its 10-year/100,000 miles plan only covers the powertrain, and the comprehensive warranty ends after six years or 75,000 miles.
