One thing that many drivers look for in a new SUV is an all-wheel-drive system. Many of the crossovers and SUVs here at Keyes Lexus offer it, but what about the 2022 Lexus NX?

Not all versions of the Lexus NX come with all-wheel-drive (AWD), but the good news is that it’s actually standard on most models. Here’s what you need to know about AWD and the different versions of the 2022 Lexus NX.

Benefits of All-Wheel-Drive

An all-wheel-drive system delivers power to all four wheels at the same time. This can offer a few advantages over a front- or rear-wheel-drive system.

The biggest one is more traction. An all-wheel-drive model is generally a bit more adept at tackling off-road conditions, like mud or dirt. An all-wheel-drive vehicle is also better able to deal with slippery conditions created by inclement weather, like snow and rain.

Lexus NX Models with AWD

The 2022 Lexus NX 250 is the base version of this luxury SUV. It comes with a lot of features, a well-appointed interior, and a potent engine, but no all-wheel-drive system.

However, simply upgrading to the 2022 Lexus NX 350 gets you all-wheel-drive. This model also has a more powerful engine than the Lexus NX 250. The other variants of this crossover, including the stylish Lexus NX 350 F Sport and the Lexus NX 350h, also come standard with all-wheel drive.

The 2022 Lexus NX 450h+ is the next step up for this model, and it also comes standard with all-wheel-drive. There’s also an F Sport variant of this green luxury crossover, complete with AWD as well.

All of this can seem confusing, but our Lexus dealers near Los Angeles can break down the differences between these luxury crossovers. We can’t wait to get you set up with a new Lexus NX that offers the all-wheel-drive system you’re looking for!
