Here at Keyes Lexus, we’re always excited to see what kind of new vehicles and concept cars the Lexus brand is working on. We’ve recently covered SUVs here on this blog, and it’s no secret that larger models like these have become more popular in recent years. So it’s no surprise that a new Lexus SUV will make its debut at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show.
The Lexus LF-1 Limitless is going to be a “flagship” crossover. The Lexus brand wants it to completely redefine what luxury means. So far we know that this crossover will look a lot like a sleek coupe, which is a move that’s become more popular in the luxury SUV market these days. The goal for this brand is to clearly demarcate two different eras of luxury crossovers. There will be the time before the Lexus LF-1 Limitless and the time after.
Because this is considered a flagship model, the Lexus LF-1 Limitless will likely end up being a larger model. It has a good chance of making it into production too if we take the recent history of Lexus concept cars into account. Concepts with the “LF” badge tend to become production models. Recent examples include the Lexus LF-LC concept, which then became the Lexus LC 500. The Lexus LF-NX concept became the Lexus NX crossover. We also have the Lexus LF-Ch, which became the Lexus CT 200h. We can’t wait to learn more about this concept vehicle at the Detroit Auto Show!
