It may be hard to believe, but the new model year is nearly here already. At Keyes Lexus, we’re always excited to see what the Lexus brand will come up with next, so let’s take an early look at some 2022 Lexus cars that are nearly ready for dealerships.
2022 Lexus IS 500
First up we have the 2022 Lexus IS 500. This powerful sedan will replace Lexus IS 350 F Sport and it even pays tribute to that model by taking some things from it, like the Dynamic Handling package. That gives this new sedan firmer springs, bigger brakes, and adaptive dampers that really make everyday drives more thrilling.
Of course, the 5.0-liter V8 engine also helps make driving a bit more exciting. It gives the 2022 Lexus IS 500 a total output of 472 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque.
2022 Lexus NX
The redesigned, second-generation 2022 Lexus NX recently made its debut. You’ll notice some changes to the exterior, like a new spindle grille, but the real upgrades are under the hood.
There will now be four distinct models available with their own powertrains.
The 2022 Lexus NX 250 will come equipped with a 2.5-liter inline-four engine, capable of producing 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.
The hybrid models will combine that engine with electric motors.
The 2022 Lexus NX 350h has an output of 239 horsepower, 45 more than the previous model.
Then there’s the 2022 Lexus NX 450h Plus, the first plug-in hybrid from the Lexus brand. It can produce over 300 horsepower and has an all-electric range of 36 miles.
Finally, there’s the 2022 Lexus NX 350 and its turbocharged 2.4-liter engine, which maxes out at 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque.
The interior also promises to be roomier, and this new luxury crossover will come packed with technology. A larger 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard along with smartphone integration features, and available options include a head-up display, wireless smartphone charging, and more.
