After a redesign for model year 2016, the Lexus LX rolled into 2017 with few changes. That trend continues with the 2018 Lexus LX, which just arrived at Keyes Lexus. It’s not completely unchanged, mind you, but compared to the all-new Lexus LC 500 or the major redesigns due for other parts of the new Lexus lineup, Los Angeles luxury SUV buyers won’t see nearly as much that’s different on this popular Lexus SUV.
The 2018 Lexus LX is something of an odd duck. Climb behind the wheel and you’re immediately cosseted in luxury. The interior isn’t dainty, but it’s plush and luxurious enough that rugged off-roading is likely to be the last thing you think of. Climb back out and take a few steps back and the Lexus LX tells a somewhat different story. The high ground clearance and muscular proportions remind you that this is a fully capable SUV, luxury or no.
That’s reinforced by its powerful 5.7-liter V8 engine that puts out 383 horsepower and 403 lb.-ft. of torque. It’s further underlined by features like automatic load-leveling, height-adjustable suspension, and a 120-volt outlet in the cargo area.
New features for 2018 are minimal. There’s a heater added to the pre-collision system camera sensor (great news for cooler climes, we suppose), new wood and leather trim options, LED reverse lights, a newly-automatic power rear door, a new Eminent White Pearl color option, and a few other minor cosmetic tweaks. Much else, including safety features and amenities, will be familiar from last year’s model.
As the new Lexus lineup arrives at 5905 Van Nuys Blvd. in Van Nuys, CA, we invite you to visit Keyes Lexus for a test drive of a great new luxury vehicle or to browse our L/Certified model inventory. We serve the Los Angeles area, including Van Nuys, Glendale, and Beverly Hills, and we look forward to serving you!
