This new Lexus model has been completely redesigned. 2,000 components used to build this vehicle have either been refreshed or are completely new. The 2019 Lexus ES is built on the new TNGA platform, which means that its longer, lower, and wider. The stretched out dimensions actually help improve handling, according to the Lexus brand. You’ll also find more rear legroom in this model.
The new Lexus ES is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that can put out 302 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. That’s an increase of more than thirty horsepower compared to the current Lexus ES 350 model. The new Lexus ES 300h will be powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. That’s one more motor than the current Lexus ES hybrid. The Lexus ES F Sport is also getting some upgrades, like an exclusive Sport+ mode that pumps up the performance and makes this model even more aggressive.
Whichever 2019 Lexus ES model you choose, you’ll find a variety of in-car tech to play with. This will be the first year that the Lexus ES offers Apple CarPlay™.
