Memorial Day isn’t just the unofficial start of summer. Nor is it just a time for family gatherings, day trips, and barbecues. We’re always happy for those things, but all of us at Keyes Lexus are mindful of the true meaning of Memorial Day: remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Rather than just giving thanks, we’re giving back through the Keyes Lexus Operation Thank You Event that’s on through May 31.
This is our second year for the Operation Thank You Event. Like last year, our goal is to raise $100,000 for the Los Angeles chapter of the Bob Hope USO. The USO, or United Service Organizations, Inc., is a nonprofit organization that provides support for United States military personnel and their families.
To raise the money, the member dealerships of the Keyes Auto Group are donating a portion of the profits from each car sold. Last year, we surpassed our fundraising goal by $12,000, and we aim to do even better by our men and women in uniform this year.
